Robot Ninja (1989) Plot Summary

An artist named Leonard Miller (played by Michael Todd) is a frustrated young creative. As a comic book artist, his publisher and agent have made riches off his work. He witness a crime and decides to become his own character. He has an inventor friend build him a robot suit (actually just spandex) and starts patrolling the streets of Ridgeway, looking for people to attack. He starts taking drugs to help him perform at his physical peak. His vigilante spree builds up into a climax – his inventor friend, Dr, Goodknight (played by Bogdan Pecic), is trying to stop him from his mission, and he ultimately comes up against a crime lord in a final confrontation.

Graduation Day is a 1981 American horror film in the teen slasher genre. It was directed by Herb Freed and stars Billy Hufsey, Michael Pataki, E. J. Peaker, Denise Cheshire, Virgil Frye, Patch Mackenzie, Deborah Dutch, E. Danny Murphy, Linnea Qu igley (1980s scream queen royalty), Christopher George and Vanna White (best known for her long-standing role on television’s iconic game show Wheel of Fortune).

Graduation Day (1981) Plot

Laura Ramstead (played by Ruth Ann Llorens) along with Dolores (played by Linnea Quigley) are members on the Midvale high school track team.

During practice one afternoon Coach Michaels (played by Christopher George) begins pushing Laura, driving her, trying to motivate in the hopes of getting her to raise her track and field game. After a particularly strenuous afternoon practice session being pushed by the coach Laura abruptly and unexpectedly collapses and to the shock and dismay of everyone dies.

Flash forward a few months Laura’s older sister Anne Ramstead (Patch McKenzie) takes a leave of absence from the navy to return home in order to take part in a graduation ceremony honoring her recently deceased younger sister – her young life being cut tragically short a mere few months away from graduating high school.

Shortly after returning home a series of unexplained murders start to creep their way through the ranks of the rest of the high school track team.

Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama (1988) Plot

A trio of frat boys follow around a sorority called Tri-Delta, and the girls catch them during an event in their sorority house. The frat boys are sent on a mission by the sorority to steal a trophy, but they are watched on security cameras in the mall where they go to steal it inside a bowling alley.

They find a female burglar who helps them break open the trophy room, and they accidentally free an imp from a trophy called Uncle Impie (played by Michael Sonye) which grants three wishes. One frat boy gets his wish of stacks of gold, another girl becomes the prom queen, and another boy gets the girl he wanted. However after this happens, the imp possesses them and they are turned into demons.

Suddenly the remaining frat boys and sorority sisters are trying to escape from the demons, battling their way through the mall, enlisting the help of janitors along the way who tell them that the imp is a long-imprisoned demon. In the end the burglar and one frat boy, Calvin, escape on her motorcycle.

Night of the Demons (1988) stars Cathy Podewell, Karen Huston, Amelia Kinkade, Allison Barron, Alvin Alexis, Hal Havins and last, but certainly not least, the quintessential scream queen herself Linnea Quigley.

Night of the Demons is one of my favorite horror movies from the 1980s. A film that is pure, uncut, campy goodness. Unapologetically.

This film that will transport you to another place and time.

Away from the suffocating mediocrity of this vanilla world we find ourselves in…to a simpler time…a happier time. A candy store of campy delights. A time I call the 1980s.

No one knew who the president…and we didn’t want to know who he was.

You’ll feel like you’re at Camp Crystal Lake…sitting around a camp fire making smores…sporting your favorite Def Leopard concert t-shirt (you know the one that’s torn in all the right places).

Make sure your seats are in their upright position and enjoy your cinema going experience.

And for pete’s sake take a beat to drink in the vivacious, effervescent, one of a kind unique beautiful snowflake that is Linnea Quigley.

Night of the Demons (1988) Plot

Night of the Demons is about a séance…a storytelling technique with a robust history. The tale follows the exploits a gaggle of simple, care free teenagers. Uncomplicated by the pesky existential search for meaning.

Simple folks. Looking for sex. And hell bent on dabbling in the dark arts.

The story unfolds one dark and hallowed eve. The crisp night air filled with frost and a palpable sense dread. Our ragtag cast of characters venture off to plum the depths of an underground tunnel system. They thought performing a séance was just going to be a lark…They didn’t know they were nestled snuggly over a hell-mouth.

The séance starts. As expected things go horribly wrong. Thankfully.

One thing leads to another. Yada. Yada. Yada…they unleash unspeakable evil.

Turns out performing a séance perched on the mouth of hell has it’s pitfalls.

Watch as they have to dodge one supernatural threat after another to avoid being sucked into the Bible’s black abyss.

The 1989 film Dr. Alien is a science fiction and comedy film also known as I Was a Teenage Sex Maniac and I Was a Teenage Sex Mutant. The movie was directed by David DeCoteau and starred Judy Landers, Michelle Bauer, Elizabeth Kaitan, Billy Jacoby, Linnea Quigley, and Olivia Barash.

Dr. Alien (1989) Plot Summary

Wesley (played by Billy Jacoby) is a high school nerd, often bullied. He has a crush on Leanne (played by Olivia Barash) but is too self-conscious to date her.

A substitute teacher named Miss Xenobia teaches biology (played by Judy Landers), but he is in love with Leanne and isn’t impressed. Miss Xenobia selects him for an experiment after school. An assistant named Drax injects him with a vitamin supplement, making a stalk appear on Wesley’s head when he is around girls.

He becomes more confident, but he cannot remember what happens for brief periods. He becomes the frontman of a metal band, called the Sex Mutants, and finally asks out Leanne on a date.

His band plays a show, with an opening by a girl band named the Poon Tangs (one played by Linnea Quigley). Leanne thinks that Wesley is flirting with the girls backstage and runs off. Wesley attempts to follow, but finds Miss Xenobia in a silver spacesuit, who tells him she and her assistant are from Alterion and are attempting to save their planet, where nobody can produce children. She attempts to seduce him once more and peels off her fake head.

Wesley goes back to the high school lab, where Xenobia has stored serum. He burns it down, returns to the music show with one vial of serum, and finds Xenobia with a ray gun. He tries to stop her firing, and destroys the last vial of serum. The assistant, Drax, shows up and admits he has taken some of the serum and has grown a stalk.

They fly back to Alterion and Wesley is left with his girlfriend, Leanne.

Plot Summary

A local businessman named William Phillips (played by Herschel Mays) hires an itinerant hitman named Wheeler to capture a local oil tycoon and hold him for ransom. The hitman (played by John King III) had been raised in a terrible environment, and has grown into an aggressive hitman. The oil tycoon escapes and the hitman spends the rest of the movie tracking him down. The movie features Janel King (as Ellen Peterson), Herschel Mays (as William Phillips), Tommy Lamey (as Slick) and the iconic scream queen Linnea Quigley in one of her earliest roles as a barmaid.

That said, the movie has become a huge cult classic, successful mainly on the merit of casting five notable B-list scream queen actresses: Brinke Stevens, Monique Gabrielle, Kelli Maroney, Michelle Bauer, and Roxanne Kernohan, even though it turned out to be Roxanne’s last film.

Scream Queen Hot Tub Party (1991) Plot

Five actresses arrive at a house in Los Angeles, attending a seminar on creating horror films. The house is empty and making strange sounds. A delivery service brings them an Ouija board, get in a hot tub, and start talking about common horror tropes of films they’ve been in. Flashbacks include clips from famous actresses like Linnea Quigley.

They cover tropes like how scream queen actresses aren’t allowed to think for themselves, often take showers at inopportune and risky times, and in general provide very self-aware riffs on the genre of B horror films.

Return of the Living Dead is a classic 1985 horror movie with a dark sense of humor. It was a movie that was oddly ahead of its time. Every time I watch it (which happens at least once annually) it effortlessly reminds me of the cinematic era that it was born in.

Return of the Living Dead was directed by Dan O’Bannon and stars Linnea Quigley, James Karen, Clu Gulager, Thom Mathews (who played Tommy in Friday the 13th Part VI). Simply put Return of the Living Dead is about toxic waste being accidentally spilled into the environment, which spurs a relentless zombie outbreak that snowballs throughout society at large.

The 1978 film Deathsport is a science fiction and post-apocalyptic film produced by the famous B-movie director Roger Corman, starring David Carradine, Richard Lynch and Claudia Jennings. The film has since become a cult classic.

Deathsport (1978) Plot Summary

The movie begins one thousand years from the present. After the Neutron Wars, the world was destroyed. It is now a post-apocalyptic world with cannibals and rogue mercenaries.

One city-state named Helix is preparing to declare war on the city-state of Tritan, using dirtbikes weaponized with lasers.

Instead of typical punishment like the death penalty or imprisonment, instead criminals play Death Sport which is a sort of gladiatorial game.

Kaz Oshay (played by David Carradine) is a guide/mercenary who has been captured by the evil Lord Zirpola (played by David McLean). He meets a female guide who was also captured, named Deneer (played by Claudia Jennings). He promises to help her escape and find her child who was captured by mutants.

Escaping, they battle their way through the Death Sport field and kill the participants, riding the Death Machines. They rescue Deneer’s child and then Kaz duels the man who killed his mother, Ankar Moor (played by Richard Lynch) with whistlers. These are plastic sword that make sounds when they are swung, obviously a ripoff of light sabers.

He defeats Ankar and he rides off to the horizon with Deneer.
