I think Vidal Peterson is the only one who makes the film watchable for the most part. Thom Christopher and Bo Svenson are ok. The screenplay, the actor's lines, and low budget effects from this Roger Corman movie would make it impossilbe for any actor, no matter how many Oscars they had won, to shine in this film. Watch Vidal Peterson as Will Halloway in the 1983 movie "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and in the 1983 TV miniseries "The Thorn Birds" Part1 as a young Stewart Cleary and you will see what a fine child actor he was. It's all about the parts and anyone who starred in this film really had no chance. Despite it's supreme Cheesiness I kind of like it. It's really campy.
